Does anyone in the Wichita or Kansas City have a FW for sale?

Here's the best looking Davis I've seen, but they want way too much money! http://sacramento.craigslist.org/atq/2155969749.html

Doesn't this look like a fiddle base pre 1900 machine?

Yeah... that was where I first read about them. But I've never heard anyone talk about owning the machine, or talk about seeing one. That tells me they must be scarcer than FWs, just wonder if they're priced accordingly. |

Hey, Billy, my modern-machine-mechanic told me that I could use the Schmetz needles I use for my newer machines in my Singer 27 ~ yes? he said they are the same size as the 15x1? I am going to size it up in the next couple days (only got one needle in the machine)... but that would be great because I buy those needles by the 100's!
