They didn't have a rubber replacement wheel for the bobbin filler on my machine listed. I'll call tomorrow. If they don't have one, where do I look next? Mine is very dry and is going to crumble.

You can get the bobbin wheel rubber at JoAnns. It comes in with the machine belt for singers. Even if the 301 is gear driven you can use the rubber from the package for the bobbin winder wheel. It is the same as the one for the Featherweight.

Sorry Tomilu, but that's not a Red eye, its 127 with Sphinx decals. The red eye decals only came on the model 66.

This treadle is already gone!!!

Thanks, I guess I didn't see that very well. Not surprised it is already gone.

Do you just use a square knot to keep it together? How many times do you pass the dental floss through the holes?

I tied two knots at the end of thread that was doubled, passed needle through hole in belt then needle through thread to hold that end in place.
Then went through holes four time or until unable to get needle through holes. I then did three double half hitch knots. A bit over kill in the half hitches, but I wanted it to be even on that side.
How to make a half hitch: http://www.cptdave.com/double-half-hitch.html

The dental floss is so much easier to work with than that staple thingy.

Pretty machine! You will have fun with it. Why confused? These machines are simple.

About the models and the different classes and the sort. Just started learning about the different machines and find it hard to keep track in my head. I look at one and think I might know what it is, but once I start reading about it, I realize there was something on the machine, right in my face, that I missed and makes it something else. I'm living and learning.

Here a a few more from last weekends trip. I know we like pictures, but don't want to overload either. By the way, 4 machines were $90 total and the 404 was given to me by my sister.

Thank you, Featherweight. The nearest JoAnn's is 50 miles, but I have a Dr appointment in Traverse City Friday, so I can get it then. There's a FW dealer in Reed CIty which is 30 miles in the other direction. He should have one, too.

Granmother23, That 404 is a good looking machine.
