Internal wiring, cast in motor, built in light, direct drive, and that bobbin winder. My favorite is the foot controller that looks like a microphone. So, are you going to start this? I found one just like this at a estate sale at first they had it priced with cabinet for $30 until they opened it and realize what they had. Just curious how much would one like this be worth?

that's a singer slant 500! i learned to sew on one of those because my mom had one.

Well, I have to say that I am excited about a machine I am going to be working on, a Singer 201. I am picking it up tomorrow night. It is in a nice cabinet too. I think it is a 1957.

I have this exact machine with the same cabinet! I have used it a lot. Bought it at an antique mall for $45 about 10 years ago. It is a great all purpose machine. I love my old machines!

That's a nice clean 201, looks like all it will need is some oil and grease.

1889 Singer VS2 Fiddlebase

This is machine that I purchased in a lot of machines last January. It was refurbished sometime it it's history by Sun Sewing Machine Specialists of California. The finish is very rough and may be a good candidate for a creative refurbish and return it to a treadling machine. At least it is not missing the front slide plate and did come with a partial manual. Later when the light is better I will post some pics of the "creative" re-wiring.
