The Two Spools Sewing machine. The last patent date for both is Sept 1913. First one is the National Two Spools and the second one is the Eldredge Two Spools. The second spool sits in a " spool can" instead of a bobbin.

Two Davis Vertical Feeds (Davis NVF ~1910-1915) that use 15x1 standard needles. Top machine's tension dial is different from the bottom machine's tension dial. Both use bullet shuttles.

I'll have to get Fenella (a Singer Spartan) out of the closet and take good pics; the only current pics I have are fresh from the thrift shop and she's still pretty grungy in them, but here's the rest of them.

I have two vintage machines but do not know much about them/ I am in Puerto Rico now and will get to California in August. Will post pictures when I get back to see if someone can tell me what I have. Dont remeber the # now. Really enjoyed looking at all the machines. Thank you |

My DH and I collect Antique Singer Sewing Machines. I believe we currently have about 28-30. Yesterday, he stopped by the store and said, "Just came across a 1953 Singer model 201 for $35, I need to get some money". It is in a nice cabinet and the cabinet was full of trim, zippers, attachments and thread. Works fine. But we currently have 5 treadles, including a 1861 Wilcox and Gibbs Treadle, 2 301s, 7 Featherweights, 2 201's, 2 Singer Salesmen (miniature cast iron hand cranks 1880s) machines, a few 99's, a couple of 66s, 2 128's, a few model 15's (including one with a coffin lid) a Dressmaker, Janome, 1970 Singer, Kenmore, and a Brothers. We are considering moving out and letting the machines take over. LOL.

I love looking at everyones sewing machines. They are all so gorgeous. We are pretty lucky to be able to own more than one of these beauties. I sometimes wonder how a woman, back then, when these were new, could only choose one machine because they were all so pretty.
Here are a few of mine. These are the machines that are close by so that I could take pics of them. This is a Singer 128~serial # 10886656~date-1892. This uses a vibrating shuttle rather for a bobbin. I am in the process of cleaning it so some of the pieces are off of it, right now. I bought this machine in a local thrift shop. I don't know what the decals are called but they sure are pretty. [ATTACH=CONFIG]212695[/ATTACH] This is my little white FW-221. It arrived yesterday with it's spool pin snapped off :-(, but it came with the cutest little oil can! . I don't know the year it was manufactured but it was probably mid 1960's. [ATTACH=CONFIG]212696[/ATTACH] This is a Singer model 66 with the 'Red Eye' or 'Red Head' decals. Serial # G6969592~manufactured in 1919.
