Default Putting my Silver 15-91 to work

I don't have room for a Christmas tree, but I found a panel I fell in love with - so I'm getting it quilted up and will hang it on the wall so I can have some Christmas Cheer!

I'm using gold embroidery thread and going over the gold outlines. Then I'll switch to my sparkly thread and fill in the background a bit. DH made me a nice thread holder for working with thread like this.

I see pictures like this and I'm reminded just how beautiful the Singer 15 is. It's a really, really nice machine. And yours looks fantastic, especially working on a beautiful Christmas panel.

Merry Christmas to you and to everyone.

Beautiful machine and fabric panel. Neat looking thread/spool holder your dh made. Curious, though, (and uneducated), why don't you use the machine's spool pin instead?

Nice looking machine and work.

Where can I find a darning/quilting foot like you have for a Singer 15 clone? Do all the clones use the same size of feet? I need/want one for a Universal clone that I use at our church sewing circle.

Wow, what a beautiful machine. Looks like fun to sew with. I only decorate with quilted items because my cats would destroy a tree. A little green and red goes a long way. Happy Holidays!

"Silver" is just my nickname for the machine - it's nickel. Nickel 15-90 just does not sound near as nice.

Sew Classic - About $15 and it works fine. Just a short shank hopping foot and should work on any short shank machine. And for FMQ, it won't really matter if it's a left homing machine, as long as the feed dogs drop, and that seems to be common.

I need to order a few more as I gave some away with a few machines. Most people want the 15 for FMQ, and they can start right up if it comes with the foot.
