Default question about the 301's

Can any of you tell me if the 301 was ever made in white? I think this is refurbished job..

I think it says it has been painted with a high quality paint. so you're right.

I think that this is a repaint. I don't see any decals on the bed of the machine. And I have never heard of a white one.

Calling it a Featherweight in the auction title doesn't add anything to the Ebay lister's credibility.

All of my research indicates only three colors: Mocha, LBOW and black. LBOW was not available in the long bed if I am remembering correctly.

I would say this is a repaint but I would also say I am not sure I like that re-wiring job. Seems like a lightweight cord for the job. But, I am married to an electrical maintenance man.

well that is not a 301 case, just a case that fits with a SINGER label attached(IMHO).

"Harry Potter" would have left that case in the under the staircase closet !

it says "Custom painted white, new wiring" right under the title so they are not trying to hide anything. I brought 2 of these babies home on the wknd...that white paint job sure does look nice on it, and love the case too!

Pretty machine, but I love the two black ones I have. I also have a tan one in a trapizod cabinet that I am thinkiing about selling to someone that will use it, but I have to get that tension thing fixed. LOL

That's a repaint for sure. They didn't ever come original in white.

I had noticed this machine also. It photographs nicely though. I would really like to find a black 301 but am not having much luck.
