Quilts made using vintage machines!
#1512
Here is an Easter runner that my wife had on her chair when I took the photos of the Scrappy runner on my chair. It was also made entirely on vintage sewing machines (except for embroidered label) including the 1956 Singer 301A (piecing & FMQ), and a 1958 Singer 401A (zigzag stitching around appliqué edges). Those two machines are set up full-time in what I call her “command center” of a U-shaped group of machines.
She has made several seasonal runners for our chairs, but we both like the scrappy quilts with the tiny pieces, so she made one for my chair to use between holidays.
The green machine behind the chairs/runners in the photos is my Singer 319W treadle, and was not used for these projects.

Yes, In addition to my vintage machines, I also have a Nolting quilting system. I do long-arm quilting for myself and for a few other people who have managed to find me stitching away in my basement. I have a few others that I've done recently.

Here's my latest finished quilt. The pattern is "Crayon Box" by Bonnie Hunter. It's all flannel except for the binding. I was at a Treadle On gathering(TOGA) last month, my demo was binding by machine.
I used 3 of my treadle machines for the piecing, 1936 Singer 201K,1917 White Rotary and 1955 Pfaff 60. I quilted it with a walking foot using the Pfaff 60 and also for the binding. It was fun to see how my iron ladies would handle flannel.
