It looks like there is a Free-Westinghouse machine much like this New Home. DH brought home a Free-Westinghouse I know there is some association between the two brands, but not sure what it was exactly.

Surprisingly, I haven't bought it yet. I did make the seller an offer, and I am waiting to hear back. I have some attachments that came with an old National machine with the same foot clamp setup (bottom clamp?) which might work.
If I get it I am certain I will be back here, but who knows, Dressmaker may beat me to it!

At least it has the basic foot. There are a lot of bottom clamp feet and some differences between them. I found this http://xfossils.com/cintipam/boye.htm and it shows a variety of them in http://xfossils.com/cintipam/boye/medium/chart1.jpg I can't remember where, maybe ismacs that someone had tried to do a list of the different dimensions of bottom clamp feet. I have one machine that had some attachments with it and basically should work, but the metal was thinner where it clamped than the original.

Did you get any numbers from the seller? I'm pretty sure it would have an alpha start and then numbers. I don't remember if the thread New Home Vintage Sewing Machines Club has a link to find the serial numbers and dates for New Home machines.

I have noticed the differences in the thickness of the bottom clamp feet, but I haven't seen that chart and will compare the three different ones I have, Kenmore, National, and Greist accessory feet.
I didn't ask the seller for any numbers, I am guessing he didn't like my offer because I haven't heard back, but I'm still waiting...

I asked for pictures of the bobbin holder on a 301, and got pictures of the bobbin winder.

Free bought New Home, and after that "New Home" became a badged name for machines made by Free. Now I think Janome owns the "New Home" name, but not positive on that.

The OP machine will take the same needles, bobbin, bobbin case and attachments as the Free machines.

15x1 needles is pretty much the best, the selection is the largest and are easy to find, all kinds of tips, sharp, rounded, knife edge dagger types,... Compatibility with new replacement attachment isn't as important as long as vintage parts are available. The tend to last once you have found them, there might even turn up a few with the machine. The price is not much to complain about, I would not let a five or ten dollar be any hindrance if you like the rest.

Well, a few hours later and $20 lighter, I now own this one. Looks as though all the parts are there, except a belt. The machine turns but the needle ran into something on its way down... The table needs some work, but I like the small footprint for a treadle machine.

I'm happy for you. Have fun. Does it have a needle decal on the front of the pillar? It looks like there may be a serial number on the bed in the back of the pillar. If it is like my New National, it was hard to read and even taking pictures of it from different angles didn't help. I just didn't notice that the serial number was written on a tag that came with the machine.

Call it intuition, or whatever you want, but I think that machine will probably take CC1221 needles. The eye is shorter to the tip than a 15x1 and I think that a 206x13 is even shorter. I don't know if you will want to try to adjust a 15x1 and then time it, or not. If it was mine, I would read http://myperfectstitch.blogspot.com/...r-classic.html more thoroughly. I'm wondering if someone tried a 15x1 and that is why "the needle ran into something on its way down..."
