Default Simanco Binder Attachment #28337?

Attached, hopefully, are pictures of an attachment, Simanco Binder Attachment #28337. Winter allowed me to sort a few things and when I came upon this, I suspected the plate would fit my Reliable Barracuda. It does, but the foot which comes with the attachment mounts left. The Barracuda foot mounts on the right. To my point. I think this is a binding attachment probably for an industrial machine (31?). Does anyone have information on it?

Dija notice the "8" in both serial numbers is upside down? I don't know anything about the attachment though.

Is it a 28337, or a 283337?

Either way, it looks deadly.

A cursory glance at Bing search results shows it as being associated with 31-15 and 31-20 machines.

Mark, I assume the tech with the number stamp got carried away with the "3s" and had to correct it to 28337.

Joe, No I didn't notice the upside-down 8. Th stamp tech had a bad day.

Upon another evaluation I see the plate is not particular to this binder. I'm looking into separating and seeing if I can use it with another plate.

It's on page 183 of this doc:http://parts.singerco.com/IPpartChar...2_24_27_32.pdf
It appears to use the same screw as the 66 / 99/ 185 etc use to hold the slide plate spring one...

That's about all I have for you. I only found that much because I was looking for parts info for my new 31-15
