Singer 1909, Mother of Pearl?
#1

This machine is posted on Boise's Craigs List. From the one close up it looks like it has inlaid mother-of-pearl decals... is that possible? It is in a beautiful cabinet, too. $250. I haven't tried posting a link before, but will se if I can do it...

Those decals would be lovely to see in person. They appear iridescent in the photos. How luxurious to have a cabinet like that! Do you have yours where you can enjoy seeing it often?
No, afraid I can't fit it in the budget. Or room! It does look like it is beautiful, and I wish someone would give it to me, ha!
I am holding out for my wish list of a Singer 301 either in good working order, or that I (of limited knowledge,) can put into good working order. I use my FW for my sewing and would like a back-up to it that I can maintain.
I used my grandmother's Singer 66 treadle last week to make the simple cover for my FW. It is quite a coordination challenge! So fun have used it, though, after cleaning/oiling/fixing it up. I am not sure how successful I would be piecing on a treadle!
