I have my profile set to have a different number of posts to show per page. Here is the actual post link - Vintage Japanese 'Badged' Zig Zag and Straight Sew Sewing Machines and the image is https://www.quiltingboard.com/attach..._151220299.jpg

Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

I didn't know there were profile settings for that, thanks for correcting it.

I learn something new every day, and not just about sewing machines.

I got a machine one with mud duaubers nests from the faceplate all the way through the top and the pillar. Used an ice pick to finally be things so they would move at all.

Your Spartan is leaning up pretty well. Did you pay extra for the patine?

Surprised the base is intact.

PS Some say that the Spartan is a re badged 99 but the hole under the balance wheel is different. I think it may be a 192.

The cotter pin is a great idea. Luckily there are a few replacement parts on eBay for the Singer 99.

Thanks Leon, The bobbin cover and belt guard I can salvage from a 66. I'm sure the dirt, rust and wasp nest where free.
