I don't like my Singer 328. I have tons of cams, it sews great, but I just don't like it for some reason. Thought seriously about passing it on to Goodwill...

I am like a couple of you folks who don't like the "off center" needle. Just throws my equilibrium completely out of whack--and I am really good with a sewing machine. And cannot tolerate a noisy machine--so you can imagine that I don't like the newer/new machines--that noisy roar makes me crazy after awhile of sitting there sewing. I have a new Janome that the dealer promised me "quiet"--well it isn't, and now it is too late for me to take it back. So I guess a grandkid will be getting a new sewing machine for Christmas.

Featherweights... they are small cute, and super popular. I would sell it if I was given one...

They are noisier than they need to be. I got one too.

Is it the motor that is noisy or the machine? They can be put on a treadle.

I agree. I gave my wife one several years ago. She said she'd always wanted one. She never uses it. I wasted my money.

LOL! talk her into selling it and buying the VERY BEST antique handcrank you can find....

Ya know, I realized that IF there was a real (3:1) hand crank for the featherweight, I might be tempted to try one out for awhile...
