Default Thrift store run and a nice machine

Sometimes we just run quickly through our fav thrift store when we are short on time, not really expecting to find anything. I was just super happy to find a small square laundry basket like new. I rarely find what I go in for...LOL

Back in the furniture section I saw a table just like one I have at home and I knew something nice should be parked in it if it even had a machine in it. It was priced 29.95 on top so I knew the table would probably be empty. NOPE! Sometimes they just fall into your lap ya know?! The cabinet was trashed though.
I have passed up three of these Pfaff 130-6 models because they were missing the crucial parts that make these machines shine, the coffee grinder and the alien light fixture attachment. This baby had it all even the darning foot. She will need new wire and cleaned an polished but she is in very good condition. According to her serial number she is from 1951.

We need a barn, a huge barn...I just couldn't walk away and leave her behind...Could I?

NOOOO! You had to rescue that beautiful machine. I would never walk away if I saw that. Good Job.

I think it is terrific that you give these unloved machine a loving home.

Thanks peeps, I thought she was a keeper, hubby named her Kota after one of the Norse Valkyries.

I have to admit I just about fell over when I lifted the lid and saw her....

Me too! To be clear, because of the light.

No! Of course, you couldn't leave her there. You will give her a good home. Enjoy her.

You did good! I am still a real novice at this and did not know any sewing machine ever had a light like that. I mean that's a light "fixture."!!!
