My sewing machine is all wired up and working. Just need to lubricate the parts.

Great! However, I was going to suggest that you not drop the presser foot or take it off when running without fabric. Then I looked again and it appears that the lever has the feed dogs dropped.

I cleaned and oiled up the Viking Designer ( Borletti ).
I sewed a straight line on an old face cloth and the machine works great!
Still having fun.
