That these keep getting listed is pretty good proof of Bill Gates' dictum: There's a sucker born every minute. Or maybe it was P.T. Barnum but Gates made a lot more money off of it
Um those people don't really exist... Well, I've never seen them.

no kidding. She's got a similar cabinet to one of my davis machines but the irons look like my domestic, as does the base of the machine. Who knows!

Oh and I'm picking up the Singer tomorrow

A Burdick. It is a good thing it is so far away. I have a Burdick sewing machine head that would likely fit into the cabinet. Thankfully I am not going to be challenged to find a place to put her.

Those Chicago prices...WOW! At least they get cheaper as you go southeast. Of course we don't know what the Norfolk one looks like.

I've got a brand new giggle for ya'll. Its got a lovely history on the machine included in the ebay ad. The price is just ludicrous!!! http://tinyurl.com/92h4dsc

Here's another one, beautiful Singer 66-1 with lotus decals, but again the price is ludicrous.

It could be worse. It was originally listed at something like $1200. Actually it doesn't strike me as being *that* bad - just bad. The parlor cabinets I've seen listed in good condition are running $400+ all by their lonesomes. The lotus decal set isn't as common around here as the red eye and it's almost never in great condition - the front of the bed is usually badly worn. I like the idea of them personally delivering it anywhere in the lower 48, too
