I would have to think about it hard if I was near it, but agree that it is overpriced.
Yes, I think it's really important to use the PM feature or e-mail if you see a machine that you know one of our friends here is interested in....there are too many people watching this list or lurking, that are not friends and aren't looking out for our core group's interests. Sad, but true!

But on the flip side of that, not all hits are bad ones. I am sure that if say someone here wanted a yellow sewing machine, and googled it, the post here would come up in the search, because that is how I found this group; I googled Pink Atlas Sewing Machine. I should try that with the Louisiana Lottery. LOL I would up with a set of the Pink Atlases or however you would make that plural.

Oh no! Something else to add to the wish list! That 3/4 cabinet is interesting how it all works together with the smaller machine.

Geez, Did this become the Treadle On site or one of those yahoo groups that demand no postings of CLings for the heads up.

This thread has always had those of us posting deals, this isn't new. I have posted some awesome machines that were located across the US, and I have watch nobody snatch up those machines.

Look, there will always be lurkers, always someone advertising a machine for too high a price (as that red one), those that jack the price up in bids, and those that look daily for the deals.

Candace, even the sweet friend from X site, like TreadleOn, could steal the item from you or even out bid you without anyone here giving a heads up. It's a matter of who gets there first, wanting it badly enough, and be willing to pay the dollars.

Just one reason why I refuse to be on the TreadleOn site is because of such rule of no posting a heads up...and why I like this thread and site is because I CAN post a heads up.

Pretty Dressmaker, but I wouldn't pay this price for it.

For sale a Dressmaker s3000 heavy cast iron frame steel in side and can sew 10 layers of canvas or light sewing and has stretch stitch. this is a Heavy duty machine built in japan in the 70s and has had a complete service and is ready to sew, and if oiled and cleaned will last. this add will be gone when sold, cash only <snip>
10 layers of canvas ... wow. He probably sprung something in it doing that and now he wants to get rid of it.

I've been trying to create some order in my sewing room and have come across 2 manuals: a 401 and a 503. They would like a new home.

Here is an interesting machine...a handcrank Minnesota. Decent price, but it looks rough.

Here's a special attachment for the Necchi BU..Wonder Wheel?
