Vintage Sewing Machine Shop.....Come on in and sit a spell
My Fishy Block
My fish is a rare "Singer Fish". They are almost extinct. I made mine with my modern Bernina 440 Quilters Edition. I don't have a vintage machine that will do a zig zag, and I didn't have the time to do a needle turn.

Glenn, It was a pleasure and fun to make a square for your quilt. Thank you for being so generous and sharing your knowledge. So glad that you are enjoying the quilt, now and in the future. I actually hand pieced my block, very relaxing and enjoyable.
Nancy, the quilt turned out so beautiful. That was a lot of work, Thank you very much!

I will be leaving early early in the morning for my fishing trip and will be gone for about 10 days. When we go camping there are no computers and the cell phones may be off. When we vacation we vacation!!!!!! Now ladies and gents play nice while I am gone. Fiesty and Miriam behave yourselves.. I will have a full report when I return. I am outer of here.

Have a GREAT time Skipper, and thanks for the compliment!
Thanks everyone for the compliments on my Köhler cabinet. I was working on a simple quilt top with it today...she's a nice machine, for all of her rough looks!
I was wrong, btw, she doesn't take the U20 bobbin like the Singer 115....she takes a class 15...

Sneak peek at the Frankentreadle!! The "plate" the machine is on is only for rough fitting. He made the real one out of oak. I haven't seen it yet....he's doing the Tung Oil treatment on it tonite, and won't let me look!!

I'm intrigued at the finished product. Cant wait to see more pics!
That's going to be so cool Janice! Can't wait to see the finish!
I went shopping today! I told myself NOT to look on the local CLings, but I didn't listen to myself. Well, I had to have this one since I have never seen one. It's a Singer 224, made in Japan. It takes cams, can be treadled, and I think it takes 15x1 needles. I'm having difficultly finding a free manual off the net, but that doesn't matter since it's a simple Singer. My son said that my command center will have to be a pentagon shape for the latest to fit in the grouping.
