Okay here is something you will not see everyday. This was a listing on eBay and it was for a Child's treadle. Yep apparently even kiddos back in the day could have their own version of mommy's sewing machine.

This was made by the Daisy Sewing Machine Company in Ohio. This machine was patented on July 3, 1883 on behalf of the Daisy Sewing Machine Company, and it is known as the "Little Daisy".

This machine went for $5200 last month.

Here are the photos of it.....

What kills me is that it had some nice decals on it. You might could get the gold paint off of it but who in their right mind puts a weasel on a sewing machine......

I think I could actually hear that old machine weeping with embarassment for what was done to her.

I just looked at a machine that looked like this as far as the decals and colors, but it was patented in the late 1800s and the serial # is 11885467. It needs some cleaning and a belt and maybe some other parts. It has a wood box that fits over the machine and a side panel that lifts up when sewing. It has 3 drawers on each side that are curved and carved. All in all it looked to be in decent shape although it would have to be refinished and the metal parts repainted. The drawer knobs were fancy brass with Singer logo. They were asking $50. Does anyone know if it would be worthwhile to buy it and refinish and are parts and needles easy to find? What would it be worth? Thanks for any info you can give me...... Penny

It a a Singer Model 66-1 Treadle I got off Craigslist for free! :) :) :)

Works beautifully except for the bobbin winder I broke while cleaning her.

Isn't she a beauty. Haven't named her yet.
