Treadling:
I like to treadle when I can do long stretches of stitches in straight lines or gentle curves. I hate piecing on a treadle. What a pain in the keester. Give me my 'lecktrik mocheen PALEEZE!
Messing with stuff:
It is a "guy" thing. If it's not broke we'll fix it anyway.

Joe, does the guy thing apply to male cats as well? My DD's male cat unthreaded her machine and looked very pleased with himself!
I just have to post and tell everyone how excited I am about my 201! It sews so smoothly and beautiful stitches. Took some time to get every thing right, but it was worth it! My SIL fixed the cabinet so that we can interchange machines and now my DD says she might like it better than the 301. It's so hard to decide which is my favorite.

I can definitely say that the 'guy thing' applies to all species.
My DH says he breaks stuff so he can fix it, right Joe? Must be bored.
Does anyone have a Windsor B. Sewing Machine? I restored mine a while ago and I was searching for info on it so I can sell it. All of the ones I found are not even close to mine.
Thanks.

Windsor B was made by National for Montgomery Ward. Here's an earlier auction for the same model:

As for our 201 it's quiet and smooth. My wife loves it.
