Thanks everyone for the welcome back greetings. DH has gotten a few more machines since we were last on here but I haven't taken any pictures of them. I guess he has about 100 machines now electric and treadle. We both said no more unless......... Well I am still looking for a two spools. We do need a hook and bobbin case for an Elgin model 2458. A really nice and heavy machine but it was stripped when we got it. He did some work for a lady on her machines and she gave him about 5 machines and most were missing the bobbin case and some hooks. Why do people do those things? The machine he fixed was a plastic wonder and she said it was her favorite. She had just hauled an old treadle to the landfill and broke it up. All she did was save the drawers from the cabinet. crazy, crazy.
Well enough for now We hope each and everyone of you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

Totally off-topic, but..... (Proud Papa alert!)

My oldest DD just found out on last Friday that she PASSED THE BAR!!! On her first try no less!

This has been such a long road, it feels surreal to think that she is done with schooling and testing (in general) She actually told me when I met her (she was 4 1/2, she is my adopted DD) that she wanted to be a lawyer when she grew up. I asked her why, she said, "because they make the most money".... hehe

Steve,

Congratulations to your daughter! It is a very long and difficult road through 4 years, then 3 years of law school!
