If you need more let me know. I have read somewhere that this machine may have been made by Wilcox and Gibbs for Feldman. BTW the W and G are fun to sew with.

I sure would love to hear Steve's 2 cents...
I would too. He was a wealth of knowledge on this era of machine. It is sad that he could not share that knowledge here with this group on this particular subject as he was the resident professor of the subject. I do have his email address. I think I may email him and see what he has to say. I hope I can convey his thoughts but I believe I am on probation here and don't want to do anything to jeopardize my standing here as well. An insight to my lack of recent participation. I am trying to be careful.

Harris #9H Shuttle Hand Crank
I haven't been on this sight for quite awhile. However I know most of you are very savy when it comes to finding out years a machine was manufactured. What year would you say this serial number is? # 3403710.
Thank you, Claudia

Yup, that looks just like my machine. Does this machine take a special needle? It says on the slide plate to use only size #705. Is there a substitute?

Yes. It’s about the size of a Singer 28.
