Well once you figure out what machine it will fit it will become bait.

No great finds this weekend. I have a couple machines out there I left my name, number and price on and if they decide to let them go, they can call me. I've seen a lot of very overpriced machines this Summer.

I’m learning that there is actually more than one Singer “Hand Attachment” of the type that will bolt onto the boss of many models including the common Model 28 portable. I’m guessing that Singer either made minor changes to them or just changed the part numbers on later cranks, but you’ll see some with different numbers on them. They all have Simanco on them though.

The other type (#81712) is what collectors call the Singer “wrap-around” hand attachment that is found on the early Model 27 (later 27s had a boss). I understand that there’s one similar to it for the early Improved Family machines too, but with a different bobbin winder (class 15 bobbin). I’ve never seen one, so if someone has, let me know.

The extended bobbin winder on your handcrank model 27 is pretty unique too.
Sorry, no pictures today. Camera needs batteries. I'm hoping tomorrow.
