Default Where was my Singer Redeye made?

    Hello!
    I have a Singer Redeyemodel 66 serial number G6438310
I have been on 2 different sites and looked through their serial numbers all the way to the end. I cannot find mine. Can anyone help me?
I think it was made Sept. 17, 1918, but need to verify that. And would like to know WHERE it was made. I'm gathering all info so when it is passed on (when I pass on) they will have all info.
Thank you to anyone who can help me!

It looks like G numbers were made in Elizabeth New Jersey. I get the same date and year as you do when looking it up on ismacs. There is a list of letters and factories on this page.

Thank you, Mickey2. How did you see that the G numbers were made in Elizabeth, New Jersey? I saw the year, but not the month, etc. I could not find it on that page. Again, thank you for the help!

Welcome Panflute, Do you play your namesake?

If you look at http://ismacs.net/singer_sewing_mach...-database.html and look at the G Series Serial Numbers you will see that at the top right of each page shows the location of the plant that manufactured your machine. Your serial number is on page 25 or that pdf. Those dates are the dates that the serial numbers were allocated and the model they were for, not the day that the machine was actually made.

The decals that you call Red Eye were actually called "Scroll (red)" or maybe Red Head by Singer employees. From my understanding that decal set was only made in New Jersey.

Do you have attachments for your machine? Do they look like those shown in Singer 66 attachments I'm not sure when they went to side clamp feet. Some have been converted to the regular low shank and at some point they came that way. If those look like yours you would have a 66-1.

Does your machine have a motor boss as pictured Singer 66-1 or http://www.treadleon.net/sewingmachi...motorboss.html than you would have a 66-4, I believe.

Janey - Neat people never make the exciting discoveries I do.

Is it going to be safe to say that my machine was made in Elizabeth, New Jersey?

I have a Singer Redeye Treadle too. I sent the Singerco.com an email saying I couldn't find the information and they sent it to me along with a Certificate of Authenticity.
