I'm not even in the running. I've sold all my old machines. The oldest I had was a '54 99k, but it is waiting to be shipped to her new mom. Well, as of this morning, I still have her! But I use a Janome, and I'm not sure how old it is. I've only had her since January, I think. I love her and hope to have her for another 50 years or so!!

I received my Singer 401A for a graduation present from my folks in 1980. It was used, but in wonderful condition. It is still the machine I use most, 32 years later.

Funny, but all the machines I've obtained since are older than that! Not a computerized one in the bunch!

Since 1982, I’ve had my Grandmother’s 1906 White VSIII treadle. It was her first (of 2) sewing machine, and she got it used as a wedding present in 1928. It still works just fine, although I don’t use it except to give it a test-run every once in a while to keep it limbered up. It’s just part of the family.

I have her second and only other SM too. It’s a 1959 Singer 404 that she bought new with a case and card table. I inherited the machine, case, and table in 2006, and it all works fine as well.

I'm not close to the winner, but I've had my Singer 327 since it was new in 1964. I still use it. I have some older vintage machines, but they are not new to me, only have had them a few years.

My FW has been with me since my Dad bought it at a flea market for $15 in 1984. It cost another $15 to get it "tuned up." It's the best $30 I've spent. Yes, I still use it.

My Elna SU Air Electronic is the machine I have had the longest. It was purchased it in the early 1980's, OMG at least 32 years. It was the "cat's meow" then. It took me a long time to pay off that sewing machine. I actually don't remember what she cost, but was quite spendy for that time. I traded in a old green Elna, not the Grasshopper, on the SU but I wish I had kept that green machine. Now I am looking for one to add to the collection.
