I saw several of those old treadle machines at flea mkt. and you could have your pick for $25.00. So look around before you buy.
I have my grandma's, mom converted it to electric. Still works/looks Great, but I never use it.
Accept for a TV stand.

The most expensive treadle to date, that I'm aware of sold at auction for 23,500 British pounds or $41,000.00. Here's the link for it...

my mom has an old treadle singer that my father converted to electric yrs. ago. Guess my daughter got dibs on it when my mom dies, and she doesn't even sew!! And I bought my great grandmother's sewing machine for $20 on my dad's uncle's auction 40 yrs. ago but it is in my mom's attic and I have no room to bring it "home".
