Looking at the information you gave Roxanne. Apparently, I need to sit down and really read my book instead of flipping through it.
Also, see your from Ireland. My second daughter Meghan must have gotten all the Irish that was in both our families because her hair is as red as red can be. :) I'm posting a picture from her wedding last June. We were totally blown away when she was born.
Talk to you soon!

Roxanne, don't worry about things until you get to them. If you have a look at page 26, you can see I put a couple of different machine alternatives to the hand sewing. The first one, with two threads in one needle is as simple as just machining a line along the design. You can even use your quarter inch foot and keep the feed dogs up, so nothing as frightening as a free motion technique needed for that. All you need is a larger needle!

I have been lurking for over a year but when I saw this quilt I knew I had to get involved. My daughter, Felicia and I are both going to sew along. We are using black as the background and are enlarging the blocks to 10". I'm hoping to use all batiks, ahe is going for the brighter the better.

We can definitely encourage each other!!! Spring Branch is not far at all. Hey, I was wondering there use to be an antique kind of market off Old Katy Rd. which ran parallel to IH-10...do you know if it's still there? If it's there is it nice? My husband and I use to shop there a lot before we had kids...a fun place to spend the afternoon. I would appreciate any info you have!
Thanks!
Paula
Thanks!

Say a prayer and keep your fingers crossed that the loan and everything go through. They are having to jump through hoops right now!

Hi, I am a newbie, just wondering if I can join. I already have the book, and have made one block, but that was a couple years ago. If I can join, I plan to machine appliqué, and do some hand work to finish places that I know my machine would not be happy doing.
