Good luck with your surgery, Gus. Are you having a knee replacement or just some repairs? You certainly have your hands full. I pray that you will be able to find time to get back to your quilting and that you will enjoy good health.

shhh....don't give away our secret of being behind ;)

Gladys...beautiful work on your blocks. I especially like the way B-8 turned out with the color variation.

Dotty D WOW! You have really been working hard --- and well --- to get all those blocks done. Very nice job on all of them. I really like the material in the sixth one down with the little stars and the way it sets the block off.

Everyone is doing such a great job!

HI all. Beautiful blocks. I just finished D-6 and D-13. I am starting on D-10. It looks wicked, but I will muddle thru. I figured out why I can't post pictures. I need a new link cable from my camera to my computer. I don't know if I will make it to the store tomorrow or not. I need to wait all afternoon for Direct tv. From 12-5. You would think they could schedule a little better than that. I am going to Hilton Head on Friday and want to put together several blocks that need hand applique to work on at the beach and pool. I am doing as much as I can by machine.

Help! I need advice as to black fabric. I found some fabric that got me so excited for this, that I was willing to start over (only have 6 done anyway). But my black fabric I was going to use is tooooo thick, heavy for hand stitching. I will be ordering some on line but am afraid I'll get the heavy one again. Any suggestions? Hex Nut, what are you using? I don't keep record of where I get what, but after this, I sure will. Thanks everyone.

Jeanine... I don't know much fabric because I live in another country.
But I am using a black Kona solid for my blocks of AOTH which is excellent for work in hidden hand stitches.
Good luck! A hug!

Jeanine, I ordered black fabric for my AOTH quilt from http://www.connectingthreads.com. I ordered from their selection of solid colors. It is light enough that I can use a light box to mark my applique pattern on the right side of the fabric and yet it is heavy enough that the colors do not show through from the back. The price was very reasonable; $4.96 per yd. Good luck!
