OK--DGD looks very proud of her pillowcase. Great she could get it done in time for fair.

QE--great MB for OK! Good variety of blue fabrics.

Anael--what a nice place to ride.

Summer stocking up found me in the kitchen the past couple of days making freezer slaw. No corn in my garden. Too many coons. I also picked more blackberries and put them in the freezer to make into jam at a later date.
Janie & Ok....what lovely blocks! This is always such a fun time of the month! Honchey told me that any time after Mirabelle either got her block or her's arrived in NA....we could start sending. She is the starter.
Carrie & Ok...you are good instructors. Your students look so happy with the result! Let us know how they place at the fairs.
Anael....love your pictures. What beautiful country.
QNS...the box arrived today and I was so surprised to see more than UFO blocks! Thank you. I will find a home for them.
This afternoon I will finish clue 2 of the mystery quilt, look over the new lesson for A4A and plan what I want to look for tomorrow. I'm trying to keep it simple and low budget. My quilting friend just suggested a road trip to Paducha, KY this fall! Whooooo hoooo!

GGal ... freezer slaw? oh please do tell! And please show us your Mystery Quilt at each step of the way! :D

QNSue
... I'd go with Jersey for 3 of the 4. Swiss are similar, so yes could be. Colour wise, none are apt to be Guernsey, though yes, it could be a very dark one. The broken colour one could be a lot of things ... Milking Shorthorn, Jersey, Guernsey, Ayrshire .... and perhaps crossed with a Holstein or Shorthorn.

I was wondering the same about freezer slaw? Never heard of it so I would love to know too :)
Mystery quilt? Which one? Oh please show us !!

Million thanks, Janie. That will look lovely in a quilt. Colorful.

QuiltE, I was not raised around 'yellow' cows, but the two cows with the girl between makes the first one look-alike a giraffe. LOL!! We had a few jerseys, one brown swiss, others were Holstein or mixed Heintz 57 or black or red/white.

Everyone have a good day; I am half way through the corn. Have frozen four and half ears of fresh corn and froze 3 quarts of cut off the cob corn. Baked our turkey in the oven today; has a good favor....much too much for the two of us. Dh will d-bone it and I will freeze the meat up.
