My husband has gone off to a car show and will be gone all day. It's a beautiful day. I've got all my little chores done and I'm off to my sewing room to spend an entire day with my quilting. This is a rare treat and I'm looking forward to it so much. Do you all kind of enjoy it when your husband is gone for awhile? Especially if you're retired, you'll know what I mean I think.

ENJOY!!! I know what you mean now that I am laid off from my job and hubby is laid off in the winter months. When he is home I wish he would go somewhere and when he is gone I wish he was home. Guess I am hard to please! LOL

There can be to much togetherness. That is why we both go part-time jobs.

My DH used to travel a lot---he'd be gone 4-6 wks, home for a couple then gone again. I learned to be very independent. Now he works at home and never goes anywhere!! I'm unemployed so I'm home all the time, too. Just found out he's traveling for 2 wks this month and 4 wks in November. I know I shouldn't say "YAY" but can I say "Yippee!!!"???

Jan, I can relate, my DH left this morning for a car show and he will be gone til late afternoon. I packed him a lunch and even made him breakfast and helped him find his clothes. I really want him to have a good day with his car.

In the meantime, I cleaned up the house, started laundry, made pumpkin bars and have a batch of Blue Birds in the oven for dinner.

Now I am taking a shower, and going to sew. I love it.

We each have our own hobbies and we spend alot of time together, but we still like alone time.

Enjoy your day, Jan. I am.
