Has anyone seen the TV show called Extreme Couponing?? I would love to find coupons for the grocery store and get double coupons. But I can't seem to find them or the quantities the show seems to get. Does anyone coupon and to what extreme? :D Can you help me?

I do coupon, I joined the grocerygame.com it cost about 8.00 every 6 weeks or so, I did it for a year then learned to do it on my own. She tracks trends and tells you when best time to buy. That being said I think the show goes overboard, I mean who in the world needs a cart full of mustard and a cart full of crutons . Unless you are donating it is just plain greedy. When I was into the coupon grocerygame if you didn't get to the stors the first day the sale /coupon items were gone. Stores around here (small towns ) got to where they wouldn't give rainchecks . It does work, start buying like 3-4 papers at a time the day they have the coupons in them and after you have 4-6 weeks worth do the one month free trial on grocerygame. You will get hooked and never want to pay full price ever again!I NEVER pay more that 45 cents for toothpaste. Free cat treats, tea, salad dressings etc frequently. One time I went to cvs got 67 dollars worth of stuff, they owed me 1.22 and said they could not do that so I bought some candy and a pop.:)

Years ago I was nuts about couponing - had a filing system in basement in which I kept UPC codes from boxes, box tops, bag labels, shampoo, paper products, anything that might one day become part of an offer (eg., "send in 3 UPCs from brand ..... product & receive a coupon worth $2.00 or cash back - I'd go pull out what I needed from the file). I actually saved oodles on our groceries, but back to work part time plus having 1 grown "child" (hubby) and 4 busy kids pushed it to the background.
Now most of what we eat (fresh, not processed foods, no package mixes, old fashioned oatmeal instead of packaged cereals, home-made bread, pasta, chili, spaghetti sauce from scratch, etc) precludes the coupons - seldom see organics or fresh fruit & veggie offers on coupons. Hubby hunts, so we eat wild game too.
But I know it can be a big savings if you buy the coupon items when you shop. It feels good to realize cash saved when coupons fit your needs.

I would love to be able to buy my groceries for 3.00! That said I can't dumpster dive. Our grocery stores don't do double and most of the time I don't use a lot of the stuff on the coupons. I did join all the coupon sites but they seem to offer the same stuff over & over! I would likable to see them buy more meats, milK and fresh produce! The show abuses the use of coupons! Wasnt meant to hoard yrs Of deodorant!!

I do coupons now too..So far I have shaved off over 100.00 per week on my grocery bill :D ...Publix, Bilo and a couple of more do the double coupons which really help..Walmart is pretty good at matching ads..

I have a daughter that coupons and she is teaching my youngest daughter that is still at home to do it too. They mostly do the Rite-aid store with "ups" and all that. They do what is called stacking coupons and can get some products totally free. It's been a help here.

I saw one of those couponers buying a whole cartfull of
Crunch candybars. I think that is a little extreme.
