I recently took the class offered by the qs where my Janome was bought. I was shown how to use the needle threader...the "trick" is to lift the presser foot, then push the botton that brings the needle up.The needle will then be in the perfect position. It has worked everytime since I learned this....Try it!! I was also told not to use singer needles in the Janome. They are a hair longer and could cause damage to the case....
    Hope this helps!

You're the first person I've seen posted that has a MC 9000. That's the machine that I have and I love it. I use the auto threader all the time. Sometimes the little guide wire gets crooked, but I just move it back into place with my fingernail.

Even if I was to get another machine, I will not give up the MC 9000. That machine does almost everything and is a real work horse IMO. I hope you love yours as much as I love mine! :D

Ditto. The needle has to be in the highest position. I use mine 99% of the time. Love it.

I recently got my first sewing machine and it has a threader. I LOVE it! It works every time! My mother is in envy of my machine threader.

I was given a Pfaff for xmas and I was so excited to have the needle threader on it, my eyes are not the best these days so it definitely has extended my sewing years.......probably!

I think I need someone to do a tutorial on how to use the threader. I can't seem to get the hang of it. I have a Janome 6600.

I loved mine dearly - but last time I took the machine in for service, they broke it and said it couldn't be replaced. :-( I would like to have it back. Otherwise I have to use a magnifying glass.

Before I put in my needle, I thread the needle then insert it :)

    Saves time and aggravation.

I have two Viking machines, and use the needle threader on BOTH and absolutely love the feature. As long as my needed is in the highest position, it works every time.
