Never hide purchases from my husband. We talk about the budget needs on a regular basis and only spend money on fabric and model trains when funds are available. My husband goes one farther, he drives up to the quilts stores and asks it I want to go in. Surely, he says, you need to buy something!

Don't hide mine either. He's always interested in what I get since he knows I'm going fabric shopping. Seems kinda childish to hide something like that. Gifts, I understand, but fabric. My philosophy is if you need to hide it, you didn't need to buy it to begin with. DH and I trust each other's judgments completely

Hide? I guess that I do since I can't find it myself once it goes in the sewing room! My DH would not know the old from the new. And he would not care either. His purchases "hide" in boxes from Ebay, Amazon, auto part suppliers, airplane parts suppliers, etc.

No, don't hide, and I am married vs. single. I wouldn't want that kind of marriage, truthfully. He doesn't hide his purchases either.

Not only do I no hide fabrics from my husband, I can't wait for him to come home from work so I can show it to him. He supports my addiction!

Most of the time, DH is with me when I'm buying fabric, so he already knows I'm buying it. And most of the time when he's out buying supplies for his hobby - I'm there too.

I just got my stash some what organized - in that it's all in two locations now (Yardage in one and scraps in another). Maybe this way I won't have accidentally hidden it from myself!

Hi PP glad you've got a sense of humor! that video clip is a hoot!

I never hide fabric, but - true confessions!!! - when I do an occasional cruise through TJ Maxx and Marshalls and bring back a little goodie to wear, I do tend to sneak it into the house, up to the bedroom, and see how it fits at home, with my other outfits and accessories. If I don't, he will see the bag, follow me upstairs and distract me while I'm trying stuff on, plus sometimes something new is often better coming as a surprise to the admiring spouse. Better than him seeing the bags and hearing 'Marshalls again?" LOL

I don't hide fabric because I purchased it, but I have hidden it to keep family's paws off. If someone needed a rag, they'd just help themselves to whatever they saw in the sewing room. Same with tools and scissors.

I finally had to outlaw all art, sewing, and craft supplies and the dining room I use for sewing and crafting.

I used to because I am a recovering fabriholic.

Not exactly hide hide - but definitely did not make a point of saying "Look what I brought home today."
