I try to sew everyday. When I am not sewing in reality, I am working out some pattern in my head. The only times when I have gone without sewing is when I am on a vacation. But even then, I am getting inspired or just doodling a pattern or an idea...And as far as ice-cream goes, well, I am off sugar and I am loving it...

Yes! Especially since I have a dedicated sewing space. I tend to feel resentful if I'm kept away from it for more than day or two.

Love this!

I do find myself in a better frame of mind when I get to fondle fabric. A few weeks ago, after a very frustrating morning, I took myself to the LQS for a fabric fix on the way home.

Cheers, K

I definitely have "sewing withdrawal". It doesn't matter if I cut some fabric, so some embroidery, or some simple hand stitching, I just like to have the fabric in my hand!

Yeah, me too! After going so many weeks (felt like FOREVER) without my room being useable, the first time I turned my machine on after getting it into its new spot, that startup sound was such a beautiful song to my ears!! I heaved a huge happy sigh, loud enough that DH asked me what was wrong! I said, "Nothing, now!"

Not really. I have been in a quilting slump for about 5 months now. Just have to make myself sew now and then. I've been there before and I know that in time I will go back to it.

Yes I do. And if I can't sew I look at the board to get somewhat of a fix.

Definitely Yes! I almost have to get in there and do something. Whether it's actually working on a project, setting up a project or petting the fabrics. I find if I haven't had time during the day, I want to go in there at night with DH and DS are home. It's a creative outlet that has to be exercised daily.

Yes! And hubby agrees! Sewing/quilting are great therapy to help alleviate stress and I hate when I can't work on my stuff.

It' all therapeutic.
This is awesome, lol! I so get this and am thrilled to see it in print!
