The quilting police should have been called to take her away.
Take her to do something she knows about.
What was her idea on the subject?
And really ,why did it matter as long every one knew what you were talking about?
Some are not happy if they can't stir the pot even in church.

for a minute there I had to look at your location- I thought it was my sister. She doesn't quilt- but she knows it all!

Sounds like you handled it just fine!

Sounds like you handled everything very well. Why is it that church activities can be the greatest challenges?

When I get into conversations like this I usually chuckle a little and say, "O.K!", smile, and go on. You were very patient.!

I agree that some terms are called different names but I've never heard of a sashing called anything else, but for sure I don't even claim to know everything, which is something she needs to consider or not say anything, instead of arguing. I'm glad you held your tongue, I can't say I would have.

You handled it just fine. I worked in a quilt shop for a while and there were ladies who new it all and there was no teaching them anything new. Just let it go. You are right...it is called a sashing.

As a child, one of my more less than patient uncles used to teach me how to get rid of pests. Not the kind you hunt with a swatter!

You stare at their heads and keep thinking of her kitchen sink full of water and running over...running over the edge of the sink...running across the floor and under the fridge..running across the floor... keep repeating this, and a lot of the time she will start getting antsy and suddenly remember that she had to go home for something or other.

And a book written by a burglar still in jaii, said about robbing houses, when tip toeing through a bedroom and suddenly find someone there, immediately start thinking of cows in a pretty pasture, resting in the sun light. Tired cows, sleeping...sleeping

He claimed that it usually put the homeowner back to sleep and he could keep on tip toeing across the room.
    --------------------------------------
=====This WAS sashing...you left a pan on the stove with the burner on..the pan is getting hot...the pan is smoking...the pan is getting hot!!!! You must go home..go home...go home...
