I am sewing a quilt block swap "failure" - I was in the half-way through process of making 35 blocks to swap when we got word our granddaughter was deciding to come. I could have rushed through the rest of the blocks with plenty of time to spare, but I had a 50-50 chance of not being able to mail them out in time with the drive out-of-town for the baby ... so I just put them down and went to watch my granddaughter be born.... which actually happened three weeks later because she put herself in "park" when the OB showed up. Kaitlyn is her mommy's Baby #3, so Mommy was certain. Oh, well -

Here's the photo below - some of you may klike the colors, others will gag - please know it was an "Ugly Batik Block Swap." I didn't care for the gold/green batik fabric, but I figured, "Make them anyway, someone will ove it." I love the rust-red batik, though, and the turquoise and purple.

    Thanks for looking!
