If you can find Fit Vegetable Wash, it will take it off and it's safe. It removed permanent marker from my textured white fridge door. I use that stuff for my kitchen cleaner. And it's wonderful to use to remove all the film from conditioners and soap from your hair. It's so safe you can drink the stuff.

Spit has enzymes in it to digest food so it take out a lot of stains.

I would hold off on the vinegar since it sets some dyes. Before you start wiping the whole surface and maybe damage it, use a q-tip with whatever cleaner you are going to try. I'd try the water first (try the least damaging substance first then work your way down to the most). Always, test small first. Using chemicals of any kind can get unhappy results if you aren't careful.
