It seems that the dish and cable systems is where the problem is as the people who pick there stuff out of the airwaves seem to get more from PBS thanthe dish and cable customers. Maybe we need to be contacting the dish and cable systems. I have Uverse by ATT and get two shows on Saturday morning on OETA a PBS station. A friend has an HD TV and a converter box as she lives in a rural area. She gets 4 or 5 stations from PBS because she has HD TV..

I think it is both. I live in the Houston broadcasting area. I also have sattilite. Saturday mornings are the only time they offer quilting, sewing, knitting and the like that I know about. (There may be something for Sunday morning, but I am in church so I haven't checked) We don't get the Vieme channel, much less the create one. I did find RFD which I think is for rural. I have found BYU which has some craft shows.

I think many of the people making quilting shows, and craft shows have found that they can go on to the internet and charge us to watch. (I think this started because there was no longer much of a televison market they could plug into. DIY and HGTV both no longer show Jewelry shows, quilting shows, or craft shows. They had some great programs, but went with interior decorating. Maybe it is cheaper, or they could have just had a better demographic)If we want it bad enough we shell out!

Wow this is great. Thanks. Now I don't have to have my quilting show withdrawal on Saturdays.

http://www.locatetv.com/listings

this link will take you to a site where you can type in your show and it will tell you the time and day to find it.

so enter the show name (i.e. fons & porter) in the search window that they provide and watch the day and time come up.

you may have to register. it's free. you tell them your zip code i think, and the info you get is for your area. try it.

thank you for the locate tv but none here in wichita on the air waves in my area. i refuse to have cable. i tried it when we came here but the service was ---well lets say there wasn't any and very rude. lighting hit the dish outside and even though we had it off we still ended up paying 175 for a 150 box. also if i am paying the price we did to just channel surf i could at least get a little service with a smile.every one wants the money but give no service, like those who want a nice paycheck but don't want to work. so i just need my phone and puter and i'm a happy camper.

The Detroit Metro area has zilch on quilting. Our PBS station does not have the quality shows they used to and none of the other stations have anything either.
