Posting a picture of some fabulous fabric that arrived in today's mail - from someone on this thread who shall remain nameless. It was for me to use in a future project (guess it's too hard to use it in a past project, right?). In any case, thank you nameless friend. Just wanted to share the beautiful fabrics with you. Didn't measure them, but one was a full yard and the others various sizes.

Just to help others (me)

Leakus/Andrea (I really am going to try to learn/remember all your REAL names), I spent last night sitting in my cozy armchair in front of a roaring fire, and going through all the photos of quilts I've downloaded over the years. These are simply inspiration downloads. I've organized them by type (more or less). As I'm going through them, I think about what my partner said she wanted. (I'm still waiting for a few more details.) I do this oh.. a few times a year. Each time, I see a few quilts as if new. So I have a few ideas from that. I also have a UFO that might be perfect for my partner. I'm still waiting to hear a bit more about what she wants.

Well, I started sewing my blocks and strips together today. But, I had to get ole Harry out. Harry is my seam ripper, named after one of my brothers (the youngest and the meanest). I had to babysit him while mom worked, there's 14 years between us and he was all boy and in trouble all the time, so the seam ripper name fits perfect.
Ya'll have a nice week-end and I hope to see more pictures and progress, signing off till Monday.

I didnt see Marytoddliz on your list! oh no she so wanted to make this group. she is up at her moms but had stated that she was hoping to get in under the bar. I will now have a sorry chat with her tonight when i call her. shoot.

I dont know if my fabric arrived today no way to hit the post office. its snowing and icy as all heck. I cant drive in the snow. today is a great day. We paid off our hideous truck loan of the last seven years. that has been on monsterous monkey and oh dear that is marvelous. Now we can put money away finally and pay off the two small credit cards we have. In one more month its all ours. anyone want to do the happy dance with me? Yosemitesa? get out those tap shoes we are ready to party! if only energy came with it. I have found a pattern for a block that I hope might do what I am thinking .. gotta PM someone here to ask what they think THEN I will put a sneak peak.. of fabric. its such pretty fabric it will be hard to part with.

Just finished cutting out all of the pieces for buddy'smom's quilt, now if it will just all fit back together, lol. I always have that moment of dread when I start sewing it together fearing I've done something wrong. Does anyone else have that moment of dread?

I think I saw a post from her assigned partner, didn't I? Check a few pages back on the thread before calling her Linda!
Now as for your quilt (heh heh), I have the center done (30" square) and most of the first pieced border figured out. I ran short of one of the fabrics and decided that no substitute was good enough. So I ordered some of it from ThousandsofBolts and it has already been shipped. I have to wear a napkin while sewing because I drool too much when looking at the work in progress. I think I may try the same pattern in other colors just for myself!
So happy for you, getting rid of a payment is always a joyous occasion! We paid off my husband's truck in October, too. He seems to think that the extra money is his play money now, while my mind is thinking of making extra mortgage payments with it. Whatever you do, no tap dancing with Yosemitesa on the ice, ok? Much safer to tango or just glide around gracefully in a sparkly little bit of an outfit.

Great advise, I always save pictures of the quilts that impact me so I should get an idea. I am going to browse through them.

Ok Linnie, here is what I get to pick from for your quilt. Not sure which pile is best. Yep, those are scraps and small pieces, the tubs are full of scraps and that is only two of them, then that cupboard is full of my special Buggy Barn fabrics which I am leaning most towards for your quilt. Yep, those are mostly scraps but have some good chunks in there as well. Just thought I would let you decide from here. (LOL) If anyone wants to come over and help me get organized, that would be great. Yep this is last years mess I made making the 120 ufo projects.

OMG...you're a hoot. Well I said "show me the pile", and you certainly did. I love it! Okay, guess I'll have to wait just a bit longer to get that sneak peek.HA

Andrea, lots of bloggers & online fabric stores post free patterns & tutes, and
almost all the fabric manufacturers provide free patterns to try also. Here are just a few:
