Oh no....that means either two darks or two lights come together in the block. I continued anyway. I tore pages out of a phone book, drew my patterns, strip pieced the wedge, laid the pattern on top, cut it out adding 1/4" around, and voila....7 sides instead of 8! Must've grabbed the wrong pattern!! haha. What do we do now????? What was I thinking???? I now have an odd quilt. I just laid the blocks out all sewn together except the bottom left is just laid out for now. We'll make the best of it!! We can turn it around!! I hope. Thanks for looking at my K block gone bad!

Now I see that there's not much room as I thought for the strip piecing of the sides so I'll just do it in all black for the background to bring out the colors of the septagon....and then there's the possibility of making the blocks further apart and giving less definition to the overall effect. That looks neat joined closely together......hmmmm :D :D :D

The same thing happened to me N2 when I did this one..
http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-48482-1.htm
As you can see I had to go back and fill all those hole in lol..
Then the other one I did I just added a triangle to four side and that made it a square and then you can join side by side and still have the Kaleidoscope .
