PaperPrincess, my quilt buddy and I try to get together once a month for a project with the intention to try new patterns or techniques using our stashes....only wish it would make a bigger dent

Have a good time reconnecting.

HELP!!!!! I am seriously jonesing to buy some fabric. I blame it on the time change because that always throws me out of kilter. I DON'T NEED any fabric. I HAVE NO ROOM for more fabric and yet........aaaaaaargh!

Oh, no! The dreaded Time Change Fabric Purchasing syndrome! Maybe meditation with a nice mantra: "I do not need more fabric...I do not need more fabric...I do not need more fabric". Wine is good too.

RATS! Got an email from KimoYes (Aussie dealer in all things Japanese/Kimono related)....huge fabric sale...gorgeous bundle of vintage wool fabric in a stunning design....several wide 1/2 yards of stunning fabric - perfect for the table runner/quiltlets I want to make for my little sister who loves vintage as much as I do.....I did think of the moratorium as I clicked away adding more to my cart, lured by the half price tags and the 1/2 yard of wool blend for free. Guilty, guilty, guilty...back to my stashbusting and finishing the four projects I am part way through....Sigh....will show evidence of purchase when it gets here.....

In the meantime, I had a bag of really old work clothes/gardening gear, too ruined to donate, got busy with the scissors and made a "wagga" for youngest step-son's car. He and his fiance have a dog called Mello, who travels with them in the back seat....she sheds like nobody's business and their plasticised seat protector was hopeless, so here's Mello's Wagga, backed with an old sarong....weird but works and saves on landfill

Oh no, the TCFP Syndrome. No known cure. Martina, you could ask your hubby to lock you in a room with no electronic devices. Stay strong, says the extreme back slider that has now been "clean" for nine days.
Earthwalker: I know you made a utility quilt for Mello, but really think your distribution of the yellow through the other colors is very pleasing. Congrats on using items that would be tossed and coming up with something that is fun and useful. What do you use the wool for?

, Earthwalker I like the wagga too. Touch of yellow
I've been going through piles of like minded denim...Mrokfarmer's jeans are well worn and stained but have usable fabric. I put 4 pairs of legs together for a large pillow, stuffed it full of scraps and leftover batting and put it on the porch for okfarmdog. She loves on these cold winter days. Meanwhile I have lots of denim cut up for mudroom rugs saving the non stained pieces for quilts.

I feel my resolve waning, particularly after reading earthwalker's JUMP ahem, I mean fall off the wagon. Well, I am going to a retreat in May and saw a collection that would be perfect for the organizer. So I could BUY without increasing my stash.
