What a kind thing to do for your neighbor, oksewglad. A nonquilter I think could get easily lost. I'll wish you good luck on not adding to your own stash.

I just finished semi-organizing my current stash. I had no idea what I had! My goal is to not buy anything else until the end of the year unless it is to finish something already started and have NO OTHER option.

Looking at what I have, it will be easy to see what I could use or what I am missing.

I need a 12 step program for material I think. LOL

Is that a sampling of what you have or is that it? Coz if that's it, I need to be on one of those hoarder programs in comparison. lol

Holy cow, Redstillettos, if that is all you have, you don't need the moratorium, you need a shopping spree! I think I have that much pulled to decide what to use for my next quilt! I'd be embarrassed to post a photo of my stash. I'd need a wide angle lens.

restillettos thanks for the visual! Such lovely fabric and better yet I can't buy these . After my naughtiness the last few months I really haven't been stern enough in my talks. Oh and I purchased two yards of 2 different blue mottled fabric for landscape quilts which do not need that much. So there I go again. Too many good sales in July and August - I'll try to remember that for next year and lecture myself early!

I'm with you red. I decided to start the moratorium before I needed a wide angle lens. Even then it grows rather than shrinks.

Oh by the way, what do I do with 100 percent cotton that is to thin for quilting? Small pieces 1 yard or less.

You could make practice sandwiches to try FMQ. You can also piece and double for cat or dog beds and as foundation for string quilts as long as it won't show through the pieces. Haven't tried this but many say they use thin muslin for that. Hope this helps.
