Neat table runner, petthefabric, I love the way the fruits and leaves extend beyond their squares. Welcome aboard.

Argh! So I shopped my stash and found the perfect fabric for backing. Cut to length, opened the pieces and they both have nasty spots in the fold. I didn't see the spots until I started pressing. Dagnabit! I just tossed the whole lot in the washer with oxyclean, hoping the spots will come out and the pieces won't shrink too much.

PaperPrincess - beautiful finish!
petthefabric - So very pretty! I thought it was a painting at first, not fabric.
MadQuilter - good luck with the oxyclean!

Nope, if anything, the spots are worse. I don't even know where I got that fabric. I very much doubt that I bought it. It is only 36" wide and looks old (fashioned). Looks like I need to make another shopping trip to the stash. Pretty sure something will work.

Um....36" wide, Mlady? I haven't seen that width since the early 70's in a podunk Midwestern town...I think you have just written a pass!

Since my birthday has passed and I didn't use the pass, I will have to confess and use it today. I am at my twice annual quilt retreat on beautiful Lake Superior at Silver City, MI and went with friends to a small quilt shop. Of course she needed the business and who was I to not help her out? So suffice it to say I bought more than I should have but enjoyed every minute of it. It is all fabric I can use to make the coasters, mug rugs, and pot holders for our little snoop shop. Anyway it is already the end of April and I have never gone this long without purchasing any fabric. So I think that is a victory. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. lol
