Hi

I had some delivery problems with my ordered fabric (they mispelled my name AND adress on the box!) so I got my last fabrics only yesterday evening. Today I washed them, and tomorrow will be ironing day.
I washed the red fabrics twice, once at 40 degree and once at 60 degree, because they bled. I hope now they will be ok.

I believe I have learned my lesson, and will take more care after this! (I have also stopped taking my pain medication, which I believe facilitated me overdoing it because it masked the warning signs.)

So hope you are feeling better soon! It is so easy to overdo when you are excited about something.

Passing time, (taps fingers) Each year I'm amazed at the time Bonnie puts into this mystery.
Think time
Design wall time
Lowe's time
Piecing time
Estimating fabrics using scraps, can't be easy
Writing the directions time
Teasing us time (she is pretty good about not doing so much of that) IT IS A MYSTERY!
Setting up the posts to go live at a busy time with her family
Getting hers quilted and bound by reveal

Taking the acres of flack she always gets about the time of year
(she always says it is this time of year because there are many who need the pick me up excitement, who don't have family, don't celebrate holidays, are too sick to get out, etc) I started my first mystery four years ago because it coincided with my first of 75 radiation treatments. I considered it a real blessing at the time and still do.

This came to mind because I'm seeing a lot of mysteries out there. An ad for one today was $28.00 for the block patterns, mailed weekly. And heavily encouraged to buy the fabric kits @ $300.00. And it starts the same day as Bonnie's...

The only thing I've ever bought for Bonnie's was the easy angle rulers, which I love, but she always includes instructions for doing the 7/8 thing.

Anyway, I'll enjoy your company, and enjoy sleeping under my past mystery quilts.

I'm just amazed at the energy Bonnie must have, with all her traveling, teaching and giving so much to so many people. I was really touched last year when I read her explanation of why the mystery happens at the holidays. I thought, what a caring, empathetic person she must be.

Thank you, Jeanie! I will just have to be patient. But it will be great fun seeing everyone's progress, even if I can't start in right away.
