after reading these I noticed the the ones my sister uses is not been mentioned it "oh my stars and little fishes". I have no idea where she got that , never heard momma say that, come to think of it I dont remember momma saying any slang as I will call it

thanks for the laughs ladies. I've had an education reading through all these responses. I just hope I can put some of these to use, but when I'm in in front of real doozy of a bragger, I have trouble holding my tongue. So i say whatever is at the end of my tongue and that usually isn't the best!
I'm trying to teach myself to say pumpernickel and pumpkins. I get there sometimes, not always.

I have relied on this statement to take the place of a needed cuss word:
"I hate I gave up cussing." If it's almost mandatory to cuss, I say, "I REALLY HATE I gave up cussing!"

Learned to use this when I was around high school students. It worked for me and still does!

I just wish them luck in what ever it is. For example - Other driver does a stupid, I think "I hope you make it home safe. Some one. some where, must love you today, just not me."

me too, worked with truck drivers way to long... sometimes you really have to rant at them... course, all of ours are men...so there you go!
