After all that work, I felt the face had too much of a harshness with the lines in the face and overall just didn't pick up the softness of the cat block. I'm planning on using the face block elsewhere in the quilt.

I just wanted to say a big Thank you to SulaBug for hosting this fun BOM. She is so attentive to this thread encouraging and helping us every step of the way. Also, thank you to rwquilts for our February block. I am looking forward to spending the whole year with this great group.

Thank you rwquilts for such a cute kitty block. It was another fun paper piecing.

So many doing the monthly calandah blocks BOM, such a good choice for the year Sulabug, gives us so many blocks to look and enjoy!
Here is my February block, I really need to explain again......
It's our last month of summer very hot and humid, so I have added the yellow for the heat and sun, but it is also our wet season here in the north of Australia, storms, floods, cyclones (hence the umbrellas) and the grey background.
I love all your blocks, well done to everyone!!
