I added borders to make the block larger, and of course being math-compromised () I ended up with it too big--it's about 14" square. I will deal with that later, can always trim it down.

Without further ado, my kitty cat block.

The background is a light pink print, which doesn't show up great in the picture.
You should be proud of this darling Heart Cat block, because it's just beautiful!! It's so nice to hear that you are doing so well with paper pieceing. I am so anxious to see your Snow Blossom block next. Love the fabric's you chose to put together, the hearts are so pretty. Thank you for joining & sharing with us today.

I did the Snowblossom....put a picture in January's thread. It didn't turn out as good as my kitty block, but it WAS my very first paper piecing!

What do you mean, didn't turn out as good? I just looked at your Snow Blossom block & it looks wonderful to me. Don't be so hard on yourself, because your work is great!! I love both of your blocks & they are going to look so nice in a quilt, at the end of the year. Keep up the good work!!

I really like your cat block! I like how you did one cat and then borders. Do you mind if I steal your idea? If it bothers you, I won't!

Thank you!
By all means, use my idea! I wanted my cat to 'pop', that's why I only did one.

I am really enjoying everyone's blocks. Amazing how different they all are!

I like the design of having the heart in the center of the cat. Had to contemplate what I wanted to do with this block since my hubby and I will be celebrating our 40th anniversary this month. This is what I came up with and hubby likes it too!
