Have met Alex Anderson and she actually sat down to eat lunch with us in Nashville one year. Met Eleanor Burns and don't know if she was stressed or what but she was not as friendly as I thought she would be. Have also met Karen Stone and Karen Combs as well as Caryl Breyer Fallert and they are wonderful.
As to TV or other stars, when I was younger, Lorne Green, Dan Blocker and Michael Landon came to town to participate in a telethon and I have an autographed picture of Michael Landon. Couldn't get to Dan Blocker which was sad because he was my favorite from the show Bonanza - guess you know my age now!

Years ago at a family gathering on Thanksgiving, Flip Wilson came to dinner. He was dating a friend of the family. When he walked in, I said to my then husband, that guy looks just like Flip Wilson. I couldn't believe it was really him.

I live in a mountain town near LA, so we have lots of celebs around - but they usually keep to themselves. Once, when I was a teenager, I worked in the bakery at a local market, and Kathy Rigby (the gymnast) came in and bought brownies. We are both so short, that we both had to stand on tippy toes to do the transaction!
My sister got an autograph from the guy who "played" Roger Rabbit, and his friend who is a character actor, and once I saw June Lokart at the drugstore - guess this all dates me too!

I have met WILLIE NELSON..He was in town for a concert..Hubby and I got to meet and visit with him afterwards..My hubby gave him a deputy Marshal badge..He is a very kind person..I love his music
And on our way back from New Mexico one year, we stopped in a town for the nite..We were being chased by a huge dust storm..There was a steak house next door and we went in for dinner..A couple came in a short time later and sat 2 tables away..He and his wife were talking..I couldn't hear what they were saying ,but recognized his voice..His name is Floyd Red Crow Westerman..He was the older Indian chief on Dances with wolves...We stopped by their table and introduced ourselves..They were both very friendly and he gave us an autographed business card..He was impressed that I recognized his voice..He died a few years ago with Leukemia..

Hilary Clinton was down here too for about a week when she decided to merge with the Obama campaign.
In my IMHO I feel that's why Texas had many votes for Obama due to Hilary's rallying.
BTW, I like Barack.
