Everyone's blocks are so cute! BattleAxe - hope you enjoy the Goshen auction, I am seriously jealous!
I am prepping to go to a retreat next weekend, so I plan to cut my strips at home, but sew at the retreat. And of course, Clue 2 will come out while I am there, so I will need to pack all the fabrics and rulers not knowing which will be used next.

Kristi and Angelia, your blocks are looking great! I also have never made 9-patches this small, and I agree, they are very cute!

This is so much fun seeing everyones blocks come together. There is such a variety of fabrics being used, it would be so cool to see them all next to each other

All of the blocks are so cute. I love little nine patches. I have finished mine and did not spin the seams although I do think they look so much better and lie flatter.

Everyones blocks look great I am going to start mine today. I'm pleased it's a quick easy clue this week as I have a few other projects that need to be done before the next clue comes out

    Bluebonnets,
Love the idea of the Civil War prints - may try to do this as well - have never done a mystery quilt and am a little be unsure if I can even do this - but hope to try.

You can do this! Mainly it's just lots of sewing and loads of fun. I enjoy seeing everyone's choices coming together and learning together. I have become, I think, a mystery quilt junkie. I especially enjoy those who choose different colors and their confidence with it. This is my first Bonnie Hunter mystery to change the colors and I actually didn't stray far just chose civil war colors and prints. The corals were a problem so I went lighter rusty reds. I thought about cheddars or double pinks.

If you love the civil war prints, I think you would be happy with the result.

If you are unsure of any of the clues or whatever, just ask here. I am always amazed at the talent here on the Quiltingboard.

    Hi,

These are the fabrics I’m using for the MQ. I’m substituting the brown with the green. I can’t decide on how to do the red and gold. Do you think it matters?

Great progress and such cute nine patches! The in laws just left after the holidays so maybe this evening I'll be able to join in and start! I can't wait!

Marie, I love you bright colors!
