Great packages coming in. I will mail my sp her package this Monday. My daughter graduated today from College with her B.S. in Health Sciences and a minor in Political Science. I cried cause she's the youngest of the two. She's blessed also that she has a job starting on Monday. Haven't seen any clues myself for me but I shall keep checking. To those of you who will be grandmas CONGRATULATIONS. I'm not one yet but I am sure they are a delight to have!

Grandkids are great -- you spoil them, give them lots of candy before bedtime, buy them the loudest most annoying toys out there, then send them home to your kids. Payback is so sweet.

Well, it has been a while since I have looked around here. I won't get very detailed, but have been to the doctor 3 times lately for the pain in my leg (about 10 weeks now). I could not bend my leg and Wed while trying to put on a sock my knee snapped and I fell. Turns out I don't have beginning arthritis in my knees. Yesterday the sports medicine doctor told me I have moderate to advanced arthritis. I ripped my meniscus in several places and have ligament problems. Bending my knee or turning my leg in any direction more than 1" caused "pass out pain". Leg swells bad, also. Have been unable to drive since Wed. Now use a cane (VERY handy, particularly in a certain room of the house that women like to hang out in - lol). 4 Ibuprofen 3X per day. Knee brace. Elevation with ice as often as possible. I have already taken 2 naps today.

All this was not to complain, but to apologize for getting my SP package out late this month. I am aiming for Monday, and I'm so sorry to cause my lovely SP to have to sit on the bench in winter weather. Will send Priority so I hope she has it by Wed. At this season, it is appropriate to title my SP as a generous "giver" and not a taker. She has sent something to me in the past. She also has two furbabies that unfortunately I cannot get anything for as I typically do. Just cannot go shopping yet, which is awful because I was nowhere near done with my Christmas shopping for my DGKs. So it's money and online shopping.

MSCUPID and GZUSLIVES - So happy for you and your families. Babies, oh my. What a wonderful holiday surpise to receive this news!! You'll LOVE being grandmas, guaranteed.

SharonAnne so sorry to hear all that you've been going through. Pray all will get better soon.
Quiltnut, congratulations for your daughter, I know that you are so proud of her.

Now to thank my wonderful SP partner who sent me the most generous package that truly brightened my day and distracted me from my health problem and pain for a while. The following photos are without the oversized Dove candy bar. There is not even a wrapper remaining to show for it.. I have to say, Dove has the smoothest chocolate I have ever eaten.

So thank you to my pal Greenini this month. She must have been lurking in my sewing/craft room and noticed everything missing because that's what she sent. Lots of adorable Christmas fabrics, Gift adornments, Pin jar with handmade "pink - fav color" pincushion on top, 2 Applique Books, 2 Crochet Books, 2 Skeins of Yarn - which exactly match fabric I bought to make a jacket - what are the odds?, Cutter blades, and a very thoughtful, kind note. I have perused the books and already see tips and hints I did not know existed. Can't wait to really dig in. Maybe over my 2 week Christmas break from work I'll really delve deep. The "how to" pictures are soooo helpful.

Thanks, Greenini - I hope I get your name someday to return your thoughtfulness. I had to take 3 photos - see below.

I also received a lovely, generous package. It was from createquilt, who knitted me one of those ruffley sarves everyone is wearing, in my colors, too. She also knitted a sweater & hat set for my little great-grandchild, knitting needles, pattern book, a pocket planner, pretty Christmas fabric, narrow fusing tape by Steam a Seam 2, which I didn't know existed. Cocoa, 2 spools of thread, and of course, a Kit Kat bar.
This is a great swap, I have made so many new friends. I want to wish you all a very "Merry Christmas".

    Sharonanne,

I knows who stash the christmas fabrics came from..... LOL I love when someone cannot use them they can pass them along! So they can be a blessing in someone elses box!

Hey Segasal... I like to see that type of thing, too. If someone cannot use it and another can, please forward. I guess it's my nature, but discarding perfectly good things, no matter what they are, really bothers me. And I have a few fussy cutting plans for the Christmas fabrics....

Merry Christmas to you and yours, and best of luck on your trip with you newest family member. Hope all works out happily ever after for all.
