I sent my sister a link to the board here as well, and quickly PM'd Patrice to remove a post that I had done talking about how upset I was with something she had done! LOL

My bobbin thread is not always the same color as the top thread.
I incorrectly mix my fabrics in the same quilt. ( Joanns, WalMart and LQS) Oh! The horror!!
I sometimes use a sheet for backing.
I sometimes use dishes, lids or whatever instead of proper templates.
I don't really NEED all the rulers I have.
I don't always follow the pattern.
Bless her well meaning heart, I love her dearly but if she says just ONE MORE thing about my methods or lack thereof, I will beat her to death with my stash.
I sent her the link to this board, she will learn much more here from all of you talented folks.

She is so busy being the quilt police has she remembered to thank you for all the knowledge you provided her by gifting the class? Maybe showing my quilting to a non-quilter IS the best idea. LOL

Hopefully, she will chill out with time and as her own mistakes pile up! Good luck

It's time for the ole smile and nod technique, or "Oh, I didn't know that." and continue on in your own ways.

Too funny! That reminds me of a newly pregnant "mom" and how she is going to do everything for her first child. Then after the 3rd, ask her if she is still doing things that way. NOT!!!!! Your sister will get in a bind someday trying to make just the right sized circle, and the only thing she can find that size is the top to the coffee can. She hasn't been quilting long enough to get "desparate" during the attempted completion of a project. Say nothing and just watch....
